· The S&P 500 Index is higher by about 1.4% early this morning after last week’s 2.5% decline.

· This weekend’s top headlines featured Oracle’s apparent TikTok bid win, Softbank sold semi-conductor business to Nvidia for $40 billion, AstraZeneca resumed clinical trials for a COVID-19 vaccine and Gilead acquired Immunomedics for $21 billion.

· Last week, the VIX Index declined to below 27 but this morning, the VIX Index dropped even further to 25.65. The front of the VIX futures curve remains unusually steep with the September — October spread trading around 6 wide.

· In VIX options, the September 28/26 VIX put 1x2 traded today for a $0.25 debit.
